New Science Block and Toilets Summer 2011

The building project, funded by the local authority, provided two new science labs, new toilets and a classroom.   In addition, the textiles and food technology rooms were enlarged and refurbished.   Work started in February 2011 and was completed in July 2011.  Kevin Slawson (pictured) was the Senior Site Manager for the contractors Morgan Sindall.

The image below shows the finished steel frame which was completed before Easter.

Tennis Courts Refurbishment Summer 2011

The project provided a new surface and a slightly larger area to provide "run off" space and new fencing.  Our thanks go to the Parents' Association for planning this project and contributing to the costs.

History of the site

Waldegrave School was established in September 1980 as a six form entry comprehensive county school for girls in September 1980.  The school was formed by the amalgamation of two girls' schools - Kneller and Twickenham.

The oldest part of the building dates from 1928 when Thames Valley Grammar School occupied the site.
