School Catering

Students at Waldegrave can use the school dining hall and/or bring packed lunches.  The school's catering is contracted to Harrison Catering. The catering manager works closely with school staff and the school council to ensure that healthy options are available at breakfast, break time and lunch time. The meal of the day at £2.25 is cooked from fresh ingredients on site. Harrison Catering follows all the government's guidelines for food in schools.

Cashless Catering

At Waldegrave we use a biometric system which uses a finger scan which provides a fast, efficient service with the following advantages:

  • On-line payments possible via ParentPay
  • No more lost cards / cash/ purses
  • Free meals allocated automatically with the student remaining anonymous
  • Specific food allergy ingredients can be barred automatically

The system, used in many schools, is based on biometric recognition.  Parents not wishing to sign up should contact the school so that arrangements can be made to issue their daughter with a card More Information

Parents - Come to Lunch!
The catering staff are pround of the high standard and variety of lunches served at school and want parents to be able to sample what is available.  If parents would like to come and have a free lunch they should contact Mrs Matthews via the school office, letting her know which day they would like to come in. Parents can visit on any day of the week and should aim to arrive at 12:25 pm.
