Activities include outdoor and adventurous education, netball, hockey, gymnastics, dance, athletics, football, tennis, cricket, volleyball, basketball, trampolining, rounders, benchball, rugby, cheerleading, health-related fitness, Sports Leaders programmes, Dance Leaders programmes. In Year 10 the students undertake Yoga and Softball.
Each student is taught from progressive schemes of work designed to develop them physically, cognitively, emotionally and socially. The range of learning experiences meets the needs of the individual students and encourages active involvement, whether as performers, observers, coaches or officials.
Lessons are structures to provide progression, challenge and a sense of achievement. Teachers select learning styles and situations appropriate to the students' experience, ability and maturity.
Co-operative and competitive situations are offered in which the students develop confidence, a sense of fair play, tolerance and sportsmanship. Students are encouraged to appreciate and evaluate their own and others' weaknesses and to respond appropriately.
