Examination Results 2011

We are delighted that this year's students have achieved record-beating results, exceeding the extremely high standard set in 2010.  Provisional results are as follows:

  • 96% achieved 5 A* to C GCSE passes
  • 86% achieved 5 A* to C GCSE passes including English and Mathematics
  • 47% of all entries achieved A* and A grades
  • 100% of students achieved at least 3 passes at A* to G
  • 11% of students gained A* and A in all subjects

Examination Results 2010

Waldegrave students achieved the school's best ever GCSE results in 2010. 

Philippa Nunn said “We are enormously proud of all of our students who have achieved these brilliant results. We are particularly delighted with the exceptional number of A and A* grades this year. Half of grades were A* or A"

  • 94%  gained 5 or more A*-C GCSE grades
  • 86% gained 5+ A*-C GCSE grades including English and Maths
  • 89% gained 2+ A*-C grades in Science
  • 50% of all grades were A or A* 
  • 26 students achieved A and  A* grades in all subjects.
  • Average point score per student 505  (A*= 58, A=52, B=46 etc)

One of the Sunday Times ParentPower tables ranks all the 11-16 schools in the country according to A*-A grades and for our 2011 results Waldegrave was placed top in the table for the second year running.
